Description: Cedar Ridge School District was created in 2003 from the consolidation of the Newark and Cord Charlotte Communities. The district serves over 800 students on the three campuses: Newark Elementary, Cord Charlotte Elementary, and Cedar Ridge Junior/Senior High School.The district also operates three pre-school programs, one at Oil Trough, and one on each campus at Newark and Cord Charlotte.Students complete regular coursework and exams and may take Advanced Placement (AP) courses and exam with the opportunity to receive college credit.The Cedar Ridge High School mascot is the Timberwolf with orange and blue serving as the school colors.In 2003, Cedar Ridge School District was formed resulting in the consolidation of the former Cord-Charlotte High School and Newark High School.The assumed course of study follows the Smart Core curriculum developed by the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), which requires students complete at least 22 units prior to graduation.Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office. The Holy Cross center was chosen as the new location because it’s better equipped than the Luxemburg school building, with an adequate kitchen and gym, more classrooms and better handicapped-accessible parking.
